The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for Big Sky Resort, MT. It is in effect until 6:00pm Saturday Evening. Snow is expected to occur at all elevations, but the highest accumulations will be in the mountains.

Heavy snow is expected to occur at all elevations, especially Friday Afternoon until Midnight Tonight, when snowfall rates of 1-2″ per hour are expected.

...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT
UNTIL 6 PM MDT SATURDAY NOW FOR ALL ELEVATIONS...
...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IS CANCELLED...

* WHAT...Heavy snow occurring. Plan on difficult travel
 conditions, especially during the evening commute tonight. New
 snow accumulations of 4 to 8 inches at lower elevations and 8 to
 16 inches in the mountains.

* WHERE...Madison and Gallatin counties.

* WHEN...Until 6 PM Saturday.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Be prepared for significant reductions in
 visibility at times. Periods of snow are expected through
 Saturday. However a period of heavy snow is expected from late
 this afternoon through Midnight. Snowfall rates of 1 to 2 inches
 per hour are possible during this time at all elevations.
