NOAA: Winter Storm Warning Issued For CO | Up To 8″ of Additional Snowfall Today

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for Colorado. It is in effect until 6:00pm MST Monday. A strong cold front is expected to persist, which will drop snow levels down to mountain bases this morning.

Up To 8″ of Additional Snowfall Today In Colorado.

Snow levels started out around 8,000ft Sunday Night, but they are expected to drop to mountain bases by Monday Morning.

...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM MST MONDAY...

* WHAT...Periods of heavy snow and blowing snow occurring. Plan
 on difficult travel conditions, including during the evening
 commute on Monday. Additional snow accumulations of 2 to 4
 inches, with localized amounts up to 8 inches, are expected.

* WHERE...Elkhead and Park Mountains and Flat Tops above 8000
 feet...dropping to mountain bases by Monday morning.

* WHEN...Until 6 PM MST Monday.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Winds gusting as high as 35 mph will cause
 widespread blowing and drifting snow, and reduced visibility.
