The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont. It’s in effect from Wednesday through Thursday. The heaviest snowfall is expected to occur throughout the night Wednesday. During which, snowfall rates could exceed 1″ per hour.

8-16″ of Snow Wednesday – Thursday.

* WHAT...Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 8 to 12
  inches, with localized amounts up to 15 inches.

* WHERE...Orange, Windsor, and Rutland Counties in south-central Vermont.

* WHEN...From 4 PM Wednesday to 7 PM EST Thursday. The heaviest
  snowfall is expected during the evening and overnight hours
  Wednesday night.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snowfall rates will likely exceed one inch
  per hour during Wednesday night. Plan on difficult travel
  conditions, especially Wednesday night and the morning commute
  on Thursday. Be prepared for near zero visibility at times.
