The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for Washington. It is in effect until 12:00pm on Wednesday. Heavy snowfall and high winds are expected to cause difficult travel in the area. This storm is going to get ski season started in Washington, who’s ready?

Crystal Mountain Resort, WA is scheduled to open for the season tomorrow and then Mt Baker Ski Area, WA follows on Thursday, November 16th.

* WHAT...Heavy snow at times, with additional accumulations of 18
 to 36 inches likely today through Wednesday. Plan on difficult
 or hazardous travel conditions, as well as possible delays or
 road closures.

* WHERE...Cascades of Whatcom and Skagit Counties and Cascades of
 Pierce and Lewis Counties. This includes the Mount Baker
 Highway, the road to Paradise in Mount Rainier National Park,
 White Pass, and Crystal Mountain Boulevard.

* WHEN...Until noon Wednesday.

 visibility at times.
