NOAA has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for California that is calling for 1-4″ of snow to fall in California this weekend.

Tahoe has seen 2 small snowfalls so far this month and Tahoe is still waiting for its first significant snowfall this season.

We understand that there is some conflicting info in this article as NOAA is in different places saying as many as 12″ some of their publications and as few as 4″ in others.

We like the snow forecast map below best as it appears to be the middle of the road with about 4-6″ forecast for Donner Pass.

Mammoth isn’t involved in this Winter Weather Advisory, yet they are the only ones who have seen snow thus far (image below).

Tioga Pass in Yosemite will close today at 4pm due to the incoming snow.
