NOAA has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for northern Utah today that is calling for 4-8″ of snow Monday and Tuesday.

* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...4 TO 8 INCHES WITH LOCALLY GREATER AMOUNTS
  EAST OF OGDEN AND NORTH TO THE IDAHO BORDER.

Snow levels will drop as low as 7,000-feet on Monday morning.

* SNOW LEVELS...INITIALLY AROUND 9000 FEET...THEN QUICKLY DROPPING
  TO AROUND 7000 FEET BEHIND THE COLD FRONT EARLY MONDAY.

...SIGNIFICANT SNOWFALL FOR THE NORTHERN WASATCH RANGE LATE
   TONIGHT THROUGH MONDAY EVENING...

.A COLD PACIFIC STORM SYSTEM WILL TAKE AIM ON NORTHERN UTAH
BEGINNING LATE TONIGHT AND CONTINUE THROUGH AT LEAST MONDAY
EVENING. RAIN AND SNOW SHOWERS WILL BEGIN LATE TONIGHT ALONG
THE WASATCH RANGE...WITH SNOW LEVEL QUICKLY FALLING BEHIND A COLD
FRONT MOVING THROUGH THE AREA LATE TONIGHT. SNOW...HEAVY AT TIMES
WILL CONCENTRATE ALONG THE NORTHERN WASATCH RANGE MONDAY THROUGH
MONDAY EVENING. SNOW WILL GRADUALLY DECREASE IN AREAL COVERAGE AND
INTENSITY LATE MONDAY NIGHT.

* AFFECTED AREA...THE NORTHERN WASATCH MOUNTAINS OF NORTHERN UTAH.

* TIMING...LIGHT RAIN AND SNOW SHOWERS DEVELOPING TONIGHT WILL
  CHANGE TO ALL SNOW LATE TONIGHT BEHIND A COLD FRONT. PERIODS OF
  HEAVY SNOW WILL EXIST NEAR THE COLD FRONT EARLY MONDAY
  MORNING...FOLLOWED BY STEADY SNOW MONDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING.
  SNOW WILL DECREASE IN AREAL COVERAGE AND INTENSITY LATE MONDAY
  NIGHT.

  CONDITIONS AT THE HIGHEST PASSES AND ALONG BACKCOUNTRY ROADS AND
  TRAILS BEGIN MONDAY MORNING.
