The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Crystal Mountain Resort, WA.

It’s in effect until 11:00am Thursday morning.

Snow is expected to impact the area throughout that time.

“April Snow?! Difficult travel in the Cascades Wednesday afternoon through Thursday morning. Snoqualmie Pass will see a rain/snow mix.”

The 6-10 day outlook calls for above average precipitation and below average temperatures in Washington.

* WHAT...Snow expected above 3500 feet. Total snow accumulations
  of 6 to 12 inches expected in the Cascades of Snohomish and King
  counties and 6 to 14 inches in the Cascades of Pierce and Lewis
  counties. Heaviest amounts at Paradise on Mount Rainier. Expect
  a rain and snow mix at Snoqualmie Pass.

* WHERE...Cascade mountains and valleys of Snohomish, King,
  Pierce and Lewis counties including Stevens Pass, Crystal
  Mountain Ski Area, Paradise on Mount Rainier, White Pass.

* WHEN...From 11 AM today to 11 AM PDT Thursday.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Travel could be very difficult,
  especially over the higher passes like Stevens Pass and White
