NOAA: Winter Weather Advisory Issued For Tahoe | 4-10″ of Snow Saturday Night Above 7,000ft

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Tahoe.

It’s in effect from 5:00pm Saturday evening – 10:00am Sunday morning.

High winds and persistent snowfall is expected to impact the area throughout that time.

Tahoe:

  • 4-10″ Of Snow Saturday Night Above 7,000ft
  • Ridge Winds Gusting 50 – 85 MPH

“Significant snowfall is expected over the Sierra Cascade range Saturday afternoon through early Monday. Up to 2 feet of new snow is expected to accumulate from this next in a series of late season storms.”

Squaw Valley Alpine Meadows, CA is open and in for some more snow.

More snow is expected to hit the Tahoe area early next week.
