NOAA: Winter Weather Advisory Remains In Effect In California | Total Snow Accumulations of 4-12″ Through Tonight

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for California. It’s in effect until 10:00pm Thursday evening. Cold temperatures are expected to mix with a spirt of precipitation which will result in snowfall at nearly all elevations.

The Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for areas above 2,000ft, but a dusting of snow is forecasted to occur all the way down to 1,000ft.

EVENING...

* WHAT...Snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 4 to 7
  inches, with localized amounts up to 12 inches, are expected.

* WHERE...Greater Lake Tahoe Area.

* WHEN...Until 10 PM PST this evening.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Plan on slippery road conditions,
  including during the morning commute. Tree branches could
  fall. Be prepared for reduced visibilities at times.
