Northern California is only .8″ of liquid precipitation from breaking its wettest year on record that was set back in 1982-83.

“A major record may fall this week.

Less than 1 inch of precipitation is needed to break the northern Sierra Nevada’s wettest year on record, set in 1982-1983. The 8-station index has been tracked by CA’s DWR since the early 1920s.” – NOAA Reno, NV today

California has already seen 205% of average precpitation this year which prompted Governor Jerry Brown to officially declare that the California drought is over last week.

Not much drought left in CA!
