Finally, A Northern Chile Ski Resort OPENS After Monster Storm

Over the weekend, northern Chile and Argentina were hit by an Atmospheric River event (a big storm) that dropped up to 63-inches of snow on some ski resorts.

Not one northern Chile ski resort was open last week as they were all bone dry and brown.  This week, they should all be able to open starting with El Colorado who got it together first and opened up today.

La Parva, Chile just announced that they will open up tomorrow after 28-inches of new snow over the weekend.

Other northern Chile ski resorts that should open this week include Portillo, Valle Nevado, Farallones, La Parva, and hopefully Ski Arpa.
