2 Climbers Died after Falling Over 4,000-Feet Off the South Face of the Matterhorn, Italy Two mountain climbers died Wednesday, 18th July, after falling some 4,254-feet off the south face of the Matterhorn in Italy, sources told ANSA. The accident happened at around noon at a height of some 14,436-feet, they said.
