And then there was one. Palisades Tahoe, California, remains the final ski resort open in the Tahoe region, operating daily in spring through May 26. With Alpine now closed for the season, skiers and riders will find most available terrain on the upper mountain, where KT-22 continues to run and is expected to stay open daily through next weekend.

Operational hours are adjusting to maximize snow conditions. Starting Monday, May 5, lift openings move to 8 a.m., with upper mountain lifts closing at 1 p.m. and KT-22 at 2 p.m.

The forecast calls for a return to sunny skies, with daytime temperatures in the 50s and 60s and overnight lows in the 30s and 40s. These warmer nights will accelerate snowmelt, exposing rocks and grass, especially on lower-mountain runs. Guests are urged to watch for hazards and respect all closed terrain signage.

The annual Cushing Crossing pond skimming contest, a spring tradition, has been rescheduled for May 10 to ensure the event enjoys classic California sunshine.

As the last resort open in Tahoe, Palisades Tahoe is offering $75 lift tickets to first responders, passholders from other resorts, and industry employees with valid identification.

Palisades Tahoe has received 387 inches of snow this season and has a 119-inchย base, which is 69% of average.
