Report from December 21, 2021 – The Shortest Day of the Year

Today was the first day that KT-22 was open for the season and it was a banger.

I got to ski with legendary ski racer Marco Sullivan today.

I was pretty stoked to ride the chair and ski with Marco and he literally left me in the dust.

The snow was cold, smokey, and skied great.

I showed up at noon and was shocked by how well the mountain was skiing.

The east side of KT was my favorite.

Despite being about 50ºF, the snow stayed cold and killer.

The shortest day of the year with low sun angle definitely gets the credit for saving the snow today.

KT was so damn fun today…

A big storm is forecast to hit tonight and last until Monday.
