Palisades Tahoe will roll out a limited early-season experience on Saturday, December 6, offering carpet-accessed beginner terrain at SnoVentures while the resort continues building toward its full opening. Consistent snowmaking windows have allowed crews to make steady progress, though temperatures remain the deciding factor for expanding terrain.

The resort announced on Wednesday that its teams plan to open the Ahsoka carpet for beginner skiing and riding from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., with a handful of small terrain-park features available. Beginner lessons will run for both adults and kids, with Palisades Kids offering children’s programs and “Kids Ski Free” active through December 12. Adult beginners will meet at SnoVentures after checking in for rental equipment in The Village.

Sightseeing on the Aerial Tram will also be available December 6 and 7. The Tram is scheduled to operate from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., giving guests access to snow play, the Olympic Museum, High Camp Marketplace, and The Terrace Bar and Restaurant. Kids 12 and under can ride free this weekend.

Village services remain open, including dining, lodging, rentals, and retail. Guests can take advantage of Shop, Dine and Ski Free through December 26, browse early-season gear, or bring equipment to Parallel Mountain Sports for tuning. Shuttle service will link The Village and SnoVentures throughout the weekend.

Tahoe Live returns Friday, December 12, launching a three-day concert series featuring Zeds Dead, Alison Wonderland, DJ Diesel, and additional artists.

Looking ahead to December 8-12, the SnoVentures carpet will continue operating for beginner lessons, while the Tram will pause midweek before starting its full seasonal schedule on December 12. Resort crews emphasized that all operations depend on weather and snowmaking conditions, and additional terrain will open as soon as coverage allows.

Parking reservations begin December 13. Guests are encouraged to check palisadestahoe.com for the latest updates.
