Palisades Tahoe, California, is gearing up for a festive holiday stretch as snow returns to the Sierra and a lineup of family-friendly events fills The Village through the New Year. Beginning December 20, visitors can expect live music, traditional holiday performances, and après-ski celebrations set against the backdrop of a potentially white Christmas.

From December 20–24, the Great Basin Carolers will perform in The Village from 4 to 7 p.m., offering free live renditions of classic holiday tunes. Santa Claus will also make his annual appearance from December 21–24 at both the Palisades and Alpine base areas, hosting story sessions, sing-alongs, and family photo opportunities open to all guests.

Après culture takes center stage beginning December 26 with the KT Base Bar Music Series presented by Coca-Cola. The series runs daily from 1 to 5 p.m. through December 31 and resumes January 2–3, featuring outdoor concerts in one of Tahoe’s most iconic ski settings.

On Christmas Eve, the Olympic Village Event Center will host a holiday buffet dinner from 6:30 to 9 p.m., complete with desserts and a champagne toast.

Skiers and riders can also join Olympic gold medalist Jonny Moseley on the slopes on December 27 and 30 for “Ski With An Olympian” sessions. Moseley will host additional après events, including a retro-themed party at KT Base Bar on December 30 and a Palisades trivia night at Bar One on the same date.

A torchlight parade begins at 5 p.m., followed by fireworks at 7 p.m. over the KT Deck. The night includes disco tubing, live music, family games, and an early balloon drop for younger guests at 9 p.m.

An evening fundraiser, “Rave for the River,” will follow at the Olympic Village Event Center from 9:30 p.m. to 1:30 a.m., raising money for Team USA Rafting while featuring DJ Alex T.

The winter celebration continues into January with professional skier and artist Chris Benchetler headlining the resort’s Winter Speaker Series on January 2. His talk will explore the connections between skiing, art, and the natural world, with proceeds benefiting The Truckee Roundhouse, a local nonprofit makerspace.

Guests planning to visit over the holidays are encouraged to review Ikon Pass benefits and reserve parking for peak periods. Lift access is available through the four-day unrestricted pack, starting at $135 per day with no blackout dates.
