Palisades Tahoe marked the end of its 75th ski season on Memorial Day, closing out a milestone year that brought nearly 400 inches of snowfall and one of the longest operating stretches in the region. The resort operated for 185 days during the 2024-25 winter season, from its opening in November to its final laps on Monday, May 26.

According to a resort spokesperson, Palisades recorded 392 inches (9.95 meters) of total snowfall over the course of the season, including 27 powder days with at least six inches of new snow in a 24-hour period. The deepest single-day totals reached 25 inches on both February 14 and March 13.

โ€œWe want to thank everyone who came out to celebrate this milestone year with us,โ€ the resort wrote in a statement posted after closing day.

The ski area, one of the largest in Californiaโ€™s Sierra Nevada, has consistently drawn skiers and snowboarders with its mix of steep terrain, alpine heritage, and long seasons. Despite below-average snowfall early in the winter across the West, Palisades rebounded with a string of mid- and late-season storms that helped extend operations through spring.

With the lifts now quiet, Palisades Tahoe is shifting focus to its summer programming, which includes hiking, mountain biking, and scenic aerial tram rides. The resort has not yet announced its projected opening date for the 2024-25 season.
