Perisher Ski Resort, Australia, is rolling out a new all-in-one product aimed at lowering the barrier for first-time skiers and snowboarders, bundling lessons, lift access, and equipment into a single three-day package.

The “Epic Beginner Bundle” offers newcomers a structured introduction to snow sports, including three days of beginner lift access, three days of group lessons, and three days of ski or snowboard rental. Priced at AUD499 (USD 358) or roughly AUD167 (USD 120) per day, the package is designed to streamline what can often be an expensive entry into the sport.

The move reflects a broader industry push to make skiing more accessible, particularly for beginners who can be deterred by the need to organize lift tickets, lessons, and gear separately. By combining all three elements, Perisher is positioning the bundle as a simplified pathway into the sport, allowing participants to focus on progression rather than logistics.

The resort says the program is suitable for both complete beginners and those returning to the slopes after time away, with an emphasis on building confidence over multiple consecutive days. Group lessons form the core of the experience, providing structured instruction while giving participants time on snow to develop fundamental skills.

As Australia’s largest ski resort, Perisher has long served as an entry point for many first-time skiers. The introduction of a packaged, multi-day beginner product signals a continued effort to grow participation at the grassroots level, ensuring more people not only try skiing, but stick with it.

With the winter season approaching, the bundle is expected to appeal to families and first-timers looking for a straightforward, cost-transparent way to get started on snow. Vail Resorts’ CEO Rob Katz has stressed in interviews and investor presentation that the company is seeking ways of growing new and young skiers — a demographic that is not replacing the aging boomers in sufficient numbers. The three-day pass product could be a model for roll-out of similar offerings in American resorts in the 2026-27 season.
