Perisher Resort Australia Extends Season | Most Snow Since 2012

Perisher Resort in Australia just announced they will extended their season this year, they say there is just too much snow to close.

Perisher is Australia’s largest ski resort and is a combination of 4 resorts with a total of over 3,000 acres of skiable terrain.

Over 2 meters (6.5 Feet) of snow fell at Perisher in the month of August.  Their natural snow depth for the season is currently 189.4 cm (74 in or 15 Feet).

The resort typically closes on the 2nd of October, but this year they will be extending their season until the following Sunday October 8th.
