Cold temperatures have allowed Palisades Tahoe, CA to fire up the snowmaking guns for the first time this year.

Snowmaking occurred at both the Olympic Valley and Alpine Meadows base areas.

Hopefully, temperatures stay low as a mixture of snow and rain is expected in the area late tonight through Tuesday.

Snowmaking will continue as conditions allow in preparation for re-opening the slopes.

Daily operations are scheduled to begin on November 24, or sooner if conditions allow.
