[PHOTOS] Valle Nevado, Chile, Starting its Winter Off With The Most Snow in a Decade or More

SnowBrains | | Post Tag for Conditions ReportConditions Report

Chilean ski resort Valle Nevado is experiencing one of the best years for snow in a decade. The mountain has received a total of 3 feet of snow since Friday and is expecting another foot and a half starting Wednesday through Friday this week.

But that’s not all: it looks like more snow is headed its way starting Sunday, too.

Are you missing winter yet?

Oh, and Valle Nevado has lots of great discounts and deals going on right now:

  • Ikon Pass holders get tickets or a 10% off packages, combinable with any other offer.
  • Mountain Collective pass holders receive 20% off but it’s not combinable with other offers.
  • Mastercard holders receive a 10% discount which can be added to the Ikon Discount of 10% for a total of 20% off.
  • Wine Week still has availability and is from Aug 12-18.

With no PCR COVID test required for entry to Chile this year, and literal feet of snow in the first few weeks of its winter, will you make it down to the Andes to ski some powder this year?

  1. Dangit! I had my tickets to Chile and got hurt Heli-Skiing in Canada the last week of this season. Can’t make it because the Doctor says to wait until next season. Figures, it would be the best season in decades. Oh well, always next year. Thank God that South American resorts knew to build them way up there, unlike these stupid California resorts.
