Marco Odermatt and POC just released a new and expanded Marco Odermatt Collection. Now, the Swiss ski star’s signature lion logo will appear on six new pieces with a fresh golden colorway to reflect his success competing on the global circuit.

“The lion has been with me since I was a young skier as a symbol of power and agility,” Odermatt said. “But it also reminds me that success depends on a lot of hard work and training, and I tell myself often to reflect and enjoy this life and journey as it is such a privilege. This next chapter of my POC Collection, in all black and gold, is another step in that journey and it feels like a real reflection of what I‘ve achieved so far in my career, and I’m proud of what it represents.”

The expanded collection marks the latest chapter in a longstanding relationship between the two parties. POC has been Odermatt’s primary protective equipment sponsor since 2018, providing him with all the helmets, goggles, and body armor the skier needs while competing on the World Cup circuit. The new collection is the fifth in a series of special editions that POC has designed with Odermatt, and the partnership seems to be going somewhere, as Odermatt and POC recently agreed to continue it for another four years, until 2030.

“Marco’s focus, consistency and enthusiasm for the sport are an inspiration, but it’s his genuine commitment to those who support him and the next generation is what we wanted to reflect in this collection,”  POC Director of Global Sports Marketing Amber Stackhouse said. “Building the golden colourway across eyewear, helmets and apparel means his signature design, and the protection behind it, is available to all.”

These are the collection’s six new pieces:

  • Skull Dura JR Marco Odermatt Ed. Helmet: Youth racing helmet with all the bells and whistles of the Skull Dura X adult helmet. Includes Race Lock, a multi-impact EPP liner, and a durable ABS/PC outer shell to keep younger skiers protected in a FIS RH 2013-certified race helmet.
  • Obex Contour Marco Odermatt Ed. Helmet: An all-mountain helmet pairing Mips rotational impact protection with a lightweight in-mould construction perfect for long days on the mountain.
  • Zonula Marco Odermatt Ed. Goggles: Brings Odermatt’s signature lion onto the strap of this high-performance racing goggle. Built with a wide field of view and a Highly Intense Clarity lens that keeps his vision precise and detailed for every gate and snow texture, these goggles use frame and strap materials that are 47% bio-based and lenses that swap out in seconds.
  • Fovea Marco Odermatt Ed. Goggles: A scaled-down goggle for smaller faces that includes the same Clarity lens technology Marco trusts on race day, together with a frame that moulds comfortably to any face.
  • Neck Warmer Marco Odermatt Ed: A reversible, soft neck warmer.
  • Know Marco Odermatt Ed. Sunglasses: Signature sunglasses with a lightweight bio-grilamid frame and nose pads that grip through rain or sweat.

With the Swiss skier’s new collection, ski racing fans can now rock some of the gear that keeps Odermatt dominating the World Cup circuit year after year. The collection is filled with both race-specific and all-mountain gear, catering to all skiers whether they race or not.

While Odermatt was recently forced to miss Swiss Ski’s Chilean training camp due to a muscle injury, he has already returned to snow and is primed to continue his dominance on the World Cup circuit. As of now, there is no indication that the Swiss star will miss the World Cup season opener in Sölden, Austria — a sigh of relief for ski racing fans around the world. And when he sets up in the starting gate for the first race of the year, keep an eye out for his new collection.
