Powder Mountain, Utah, will kick off its 2025–26 winter season with night skiing at Sundown on Friday, December 12. The resort will then continue with daytime operations from Saturday, December 13.
On Friday, December 12, the Sundown Lift and the Sun Tunnel Surface Lift are scheduled to run from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. that evening, weather and snow conditions permitting. Skiers and riders can take advantage of $24 night tickets, a price that will remain in effect throughout the season.
Daytime operations are set to begin the following morning, Saturday, December 13, at 9:00 a.m. The resort noted that details on terrain openings will be shared as conditions allow at the start of the season.

Located in northern Utah’s Wasatch Range, Powder Mountain is known for its expansive terrain and uncrowded slopes. The resort was bought in 2023 by Netflix founder and former CEO Reed Hastings from the founders of the Summit Series, who had bought the resort in 2013 in hopes of turning it around. Since the acquisition, Hastings has invested heavily in upgrading the resort but made the somewhat controversial decision to make the resort semi-private.

Hasting’s efforts to revamp the struggling resort has seen the construction of five new chairlifts, two of which are for residents only. Four lifts were constructed and opened in 2024, of which two were new lift lines (Raintree on the private side and Lightning Ride on the public side), and two were old fixed-grip lifts (Paradise and Timberline, both on the public side) which were replaced with new, high-speed quad chairs. For the 2025-26 season, the new Primetime Express will open, connecting the newly acquired Davenport area to the private side of the resort.
