“Monday at Squaw really played some games with my heart. The morning was quite a disappointment as winds and the rain from the night before made conditions quite tricky. Squaw Creek opened around 10am and Red Dog and Far East opened a little after Noon. KT was on wind hold all morning and I had written the day off as a groomer day.

A little before 1pm, The Mothership prevailed. The majority of Chute 75 and West Face had amazing deep wintery chalk. While the bottom half of the east side of KT had a nasty breakable crust, the bottom of Chute 75 had a nice slushy bump run that formed in the runout. The best runs were on Chute 75, West Face, Big Balls, and Tom’s Tumble. Best part of the day? Squaw decided to run KT until 430. Thanks Squaw mountain ops! We finished with a very close call as we got to Mamasake with only 2 minutes left of happy hour.” – Guy LaDouche, yesterday
