In the last 24 hours we’ve received six inches of snow at the base and seven inches on the upper mountains at both Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows.

This brings our storm total to 18 – 24 inches. We will be opening new terrain tomorrow at Squaw Valley: Red Dog and Squaw Creek chairlifts with access to two long intermediate/expert groomed trails over 1,300 vertical feet.

With this new terrain, we now have something open for all ability levels.

Alpine Meadows now has two intermediate trails and Squaw Valley has two intermediate/expert trails, a beginner area and snow tubing. We continue to make snow at every opportunity and plan to open more terrain as soon as possible.
