VIDEO: Skiers and Riders Illegally Shredding Red Rocks Amphitheatre Near Denver, CO

Eager skiers and riders took advantage of the multiple feet of snow to hit Denver over the weekend by shredding the steps at the famous Red Rocks Amphitheatre.

Fresh, deep powder covered the steep steps at the iconic music venue and was too good an opportunity for powderhounds to pass up. Barriers and fences were removed for them to gain access.

Unfortunately, skiing and riding at Red Rocks are illegal, and security guards quickly escorted offenders off the property. Everybody moved on peacefully, and no tickets were issued.

Red Rocks Amphitheatre is an open-air amphitheatre built into a rock structure in the western United States, near Morrison, Colorado, ten miles west of Denver. There is a large, tilted, disc-shaped rock behind the stage, a huge vertical rock angled outwards from stage right, several large outcrops angled outwards from stage left and a seating area for up to 9,525.
