VIDEO: One Year On | Remembering Our Friend Bryce Newcomb

Last year on March 27, a cornice collapsed on Cody Peak, taking with it Jackson local and our friend Bryce Newcomb.

He fell roughly 1,000 feet down a rocky, exposed area between Four Shadows and No Shadows couloirs before coming to a full stop. He sustained a traumatic brain injury and eventually succumbed to those injuries, passing away on June 15, 2018.

The 30-year-old, who was a good friend of SnowBrains co-founder and fellow professional skier Miles Clark, grew up in Sun Valley, Idaho, and lived in Jackson for a few years. He will always be remembered for living life to its fullest, and making anybody believe that anything is possible.

This fitting tribute video from TGR encapsulates Bryce’s attitude to life: Just Send It!
