Today brought another round of sunshine and high temps to Tahoe, and the skiing at Sugar Bowl was quite ripping.ย The east wind we’ve had for the past week finally faded, and things were actually able to soften up a bit off piste.ย Turns off of Disney were starting to corn up, and the coverage up high is still good.
One of the best parts of Sugar Bowl is how fun the groomers are.ย With the low tide conditions, they are full of features and rolling knolls that are perfect for airing, buttering, and general shredding.
Due to the lack of snow, the Judah side of the mountain has closed with Mt. Judah Express and Jerome Hill Express closed until mother nature gives us a little helping hand.ย However, Lincoln and Disney are still serving up plenty of fun turns to keep ya occupied.ย We finally have some precipitation in the 7 day forecast, but at this moment the temperatures don’t look to be in our favor.
That is not a half pipe, it is a stunt ditch.
Despite the lack of snow, off trail was good and all the hits were were fun as heck. No crowds and everybody was smiling. Good times!
