Rumors have been circulating throughout Colorado lately about the possibility of Aspen opening up early this year, well Aspen confirmed that those rumors are true! Aspen will be opening up for the season 12 days earlier than their intended opening date of Thanksgiving Day, November 26th. Aspen has attributed their early opening to recent snowfall and superb snowmaking conditions that began in late October.

Aspen Mountain will have about 1/7th of their skiable terrain open on Saturday!

When will Aspen mountain open? 

Aspen Mountain will open at 9am on Saturday, November 14th and Sunday, November 15th. Aspen Mountain and Snowmass will be open daily for the season on Saturday, November 21, five days before the scheduled opening.

What will be open?

Three lifts and more than 100 acres of terrain will greet skiers and snowboarders on opening day. Skiers will upload and download on the Silver Queen Gondola to access the terrain. The Silver Queen Gondola, Ajax Express, and Gentleman’s Ridge chairs will be open as will the Sundeck and Ajax Tavern. The Ski and Snowboard Schools and Four Mountain Sports will be open for business as usual.

How much are tickets? Are season passes accepted?

All season passes will be valid as they would be in the regular season. Lift tickets are $59 a day for adults and $39 for children, youth and seniors.

Aspen Mountain will open for a special preview weekend Saturday and Sunday, November 14 and 15, twelve days earlier than the scheduled opening on Thanksgiving Day, November 26. Three lifts and more than 100 acres of terrain will greet skiers and snowboarders on opening day. Skiers will upload and download on the Silver Queen Gondola to access the terrain.

All season passes will be valid as they would be in the regular season. Lift tickets are $59 a day for adults and $39 for children, youth and seniors. Extension days for Classic, Flex, Club Escape and Mountain Collective Passholders are just $29 for Adults and $19 for child, teen, seniors and college students.
