On Friday, search and rescue personnel found a hiking boot belonging to a 16-year-old Ohio girl who went missing on Thursday in Grand Teton National Park.  They don’t believe she was wearing that boot when she went missing on Thursday morning.

Over 115 people joined this search and rescue operation on Friday along with dogs and helicopters.

Fauna Jackson, from Cincinnati, is part of Groundwork USA, a youth volunteer conservation corps.  She was in Grand Teton National Park on Friday helping reroute a hiking trail in the Triangle X Ranch zone.  Co-workers report that she took a break while working on the trail on Thursday morning and hasn’t been seen since.

The search continues today with ATV patrols and the Wyoming Civil Air Patrol.
