Search Suspended For The Two Snowboarders That Have Been Missing Near Mt. Baker Ski Area, WA Since Sunday

The search for Two Missing Snowboarders in Washington has been suspended. Drew Lenz and Jake Amancio have been missing since Sunday Night near Mt. Baker Ski Area, WA. Their roommate reported them missing Sunday Night after they failed to return from a day of backcountry snowboarding. Officials and friends have been searching in the area since Monday, but their efforts haven’t turned up anything.

The search for the two young men was canceled on Wednesday, after heavy snowfall and dangerous snow conditions risked the lives of rescue personnel. At the time, the resort was forecasted to receive up to 3 FEET of snow by this morning. Officials are hopeful that they will be able to resume the search efforts this morning.
