Search Underway for Woman Missing in Colorado Mountains Since October 16th

A search is underway for a woman last seen at North Crestone Campground, CO, on October 16th. 

Jenifer Ann Driver, also known as Mountain Sun, is thought to have left the campsite to hike to North Crestone Lake in the Sangre de Cristo mountain range.

Jenifer is 5’4”, approximately 170lbs, has brown eyes, has grey shaved hair, and wears baggy, comfortable clothing.

It is thought that Jenifer might have her backpack, sleeping bag, and blue tent with her.

The weather in the last few days has been cold and snowy, although accumulation is low. Crestone Peak is considered one of the most dangerous 14ers in Colorado.

The Saguache County Sheriff’s Office has ground and aircrews looking for her.  If you have any information, please contact the Saguache County Sheriff’s Office at 719-655-2544.
