Mikaela Shiffrin and Aleksander Aamodt Kilde are back on snow together, sharing a relaxed spring training session at Copper Mountain, Colorado, as both athletes continue their off-season preparation.
Shiffrin posted images from the session with her fiancé Kilde, captioning the moment: “A little spring skiing at Copper Mountain with the best team (and fam).” The World Cup overall champion was training alongside her support team in the well-known Colorado training hub, which regularly hosts elite ski racers during the North American spring period.
Kilde, meanwhile, shared a separate video of himself working on giant slalom—an event he does not typically compete in on the World Cup circuit. The Norwegian speed specialist has traditionally focused on downhill and super-G, but his spring training clip showed him revisiting technical fundamentals. “Building fundamentals,” Kilde wrote alongside the video.
The couple, both among the biggest names in international alpine skiing, have been gradually returning to structured training after the main World Cup season, using Copper Mountain’s spring conditions to refine technique and maintain on-snow rhythm ahead of summer preparation phases. The pair have been engaged since last summer.
