On this trip you’ll experience a week-long session at thier flagship program, SASS Argentina, based at South America’s largest resort, Catedral Alta Patagonia, near Bariloche, and then pop over to one of the most unique corners of Chile for your choice of 3, 4 or 6 days of shredding the Chilean backcountry via snowmobiles on the other side of the Andes.

This is an amazing chance to experience riding both Argentinian and Chilean Patagonia and immerse yourself in two of the best backcountry areas in the world. After spending the first week shredding the backcountry with their guides, using the lifts at the resort for access and hiking or touring from there, you’ll head into Chile and use snowmobiles to access terrain in the volcanic region of Chilean Patagonia. The beauty of this trip is it absolutely maximizes your time so you can get the most out of your trip and gives you a good, broad variety in different types of backcountry skiing.

While SASS is focused on getting you the goods, their guides are also there to educate. With options to take an avalanche course in Argentina, you’ll learn about mountain sense, backcountry etiquette, avalanche safety, terrain analysis and rescue in the mountains. That focus on education and safety and helping folks to become responsible backcountry users is one of the cornerstones of SASS’ whole ethos.
