Report by Sierra-at-Tahoe, CA
6am today
This storm came in just like we hoped, delivering 17 inches of fresh snow last night and a total of 22 inches in the last 24 hours! It’s safe to say we got nuked yesterday, so dust off the fat skis and make your way up for the biggest pow day of the year!
We currently have 6 lifts and tows scheduled to run at 9am with conditions permitting. That means you’ll have access to 28 trails, 23 groomed runs, and 3 terrain parks. We expect to open more terrain as patrol assesses (ahem, West Bowl), so keep an eye on our website today for the latest lift and trail statuses!
While all this new snow is super exciting, we strongly suggest riding with caution today. It’s best to stay on open runs and avoiding tree skiing for now, as unmarked obstacles and closures still exist. We also encourage guests to educate themselves on deep snow safety and always ski/ride with a buddy.
It’s still dumping up here and will continue into the evening, so come prepared! Be safe and have fun slashing pow today!
