Enjoy blue skies and warm sunshine today, before the next system moves through the Sierras on Tuesday. This will bring Valley rain and heavy mountain snow for the second half of the week.

The strong winter storm is likely to bring impacts to the Sierras with strong winds, heavy rain, and snow. The storm is looking warmer than the last storm but will cause significant impacts to travel over the Sierra.

Look for snow at 7000-8000 feet Tuesday through Wednesday, with Thursday through Saturday starting at 6000 feet and lowering quickly Thursday night to 3000-4000 feet with more cold low snow possibly behind that at the weekend.
