Silverton didn’t provide a single word to accompany these photos.  They didn’t need to.  The pictures say it all.
It was clearly about 2 feet deep in spots. Â There was likely avy danger and some weather as they were skiing in the trees. Â It was obviously a very good day.
Silverton and Southwestern Colorado in general has gotten quite a bit of snow already this season. Â It remains to be seen if that will be a good or a bad thing. Â Early Colorado snow can turn into a rotten faceted weak layer that can plague an entire season.
…or it can just keep snowing all season long and simply create a stellar snowpack that produces smiles and good times all season long.  We’ll just have to wait and see.
Regardless, October 11th in Silverton, Colorado was an unreal day. Â
that looks awesome !
Game on.
So, why am I not skiing right now?
