Utah’s Wasatch Mountains are home to a cluster of legendary ski areas packed with deep powder, steep bowls, and wide-open glades. For serious skiers, few adventures would compare to linking together six world-class resorts in the area in a single day, and that is exactly what is possible for those who sign up for a specialized tour.
Long known for “The Greatest Snow on Earth,” the Ski Utah Interconnect Tour connects up to six resorts together, guiding advanced and expert skiers across Deer Valley, Park City Mountain, Solitude, Brighton, Alta, and Snowbird, as well as stretches of untouched backcountry terrain in between. It’s part endurance challenge, part powder pilgrimage, and entirely unique to Utah.
The full-day tour traces an average of 25 miles through the heart of the Wasatch Range, mixing in resort runs, backcountry traverses, and short hikes to reach hidden bowls and remote ridgelines. Since 1984, the experience has drawn confident skiers looking for something more than laps on a single mountain. It’s an intimate way to see how seamlessly the Wasatch connects, with each resort revealing its own character. From Deer Valley’s groomed perfection to Alta’s powder fields and Snowbird’s rugged chutes, the scenery is as impressive as the skiing, with sweeping views of untouched alpine terrain and the valley far below.
Tours operate once daily, seven days a week, from late December through early April, weather and snow permitting. Skiers can choose between two starting points: Deer Valley and Snowbird. The Deer Valley departure is considered the more approachable route, offering a true mountain-to-mountain traverse that hits all six resorts. The Snowbird route, by contrast, demands stronger legs and stamina, with more hiking, sidestepping, and steeper pitches, and is a version that rewards those ready for a tougher test. Each tour is guided by seasoned professionals trained in avalanche awareness, snow safety, and backcountry etiquette, ensuring guests can focus on the thrill of the terrain rather than the logistics.

The Interconnect offers two booking options: the “Open Tour,” priced at $575 per person, and the “Private Tour,” starting at $2,100 for up to three people and $500 for each additional skier (up to 12 total). Private groups can customize their itinerary, choose their start and finish points, and even incorporate touring gear like skins to access more remote terrain. Lunch and transportation are included with both formats. Because Deer Valley and Alta are ski-only resorts, snowboarding isn’t permitted on any Interconnect Tour.
Participants must be at least 15 years old and in good physical condition, capable of handling variable snow and terrain throughout the day. While no prior backcountry experience is required, this tour is designed strictly for advanced and expert skiers.
