As winter winds down, Woodward Copper is gearing up for another unforgettable summer on snow. Offering the longest on-snow summer camp in Colorado, Woodward Copper provides skiers and snowboarders with the unique opportunity to train in a world-class terrain park high in the Rocky Mountains while soaking up the summer sun. New this year, campers can now opt to swap skis for handlebars with the launch of a brand-new Mountain Bike Camp later in the summer.
For 2025, Woodward Copper is expanding its adult camp to two weeks, providing skiers and riders aged 18 and up with more opportunities to advance their skills on the snow. As the only place in Colorado to offer an on-snow summer camp experience, Copper provides a one-of-a-kind opportunity to ski and ride all summer long. The first adult session will run from May 25 to May 30, with a second session taking place from August 10 to August 15. Additionally, Woodward will continue to offer ten weeks of on-snow camp between June and August for skiers and riders ages 7 to 17, making it the ultimate summer training ground for athletes of all ages.
Located at 10,600 feet, Woodwardโs on-mountain glacier holds enough snow to support a four-acre, fully built-out terrain park complete with jumps, rails, jibs, and a surface lift, allowing campers to rack up rapid laps from May through August. Whether campers are dialing in new tricks or taking their first runs through the park, theyโll benefit from expert coaching and an immersive training environment designed to push progression.
In addition to personalized coaching, campers will have the one-of-a-kind opportunity to ride alongside top professional skiers and snowboarders. Snowboarders Red Gerard, Jill Perkins, and Danny Davis will be joining sessions throughout the summer. Skiers Alex Ferreira, Taylor Seato, and Tom Wallisch will also be on-hill working with campers.
Beyond on-snow sessions, campers gain exclusive access to the Woodward Copper Barn, a 19,400-square-foot indoor action sports training facility. Packed with world-class features, including six Olympic fly-bed trampolines, a 16 ft by 16 ft Super Trampoline, foam pits, a pump track, multiple skate zones, and a spring floor, the Barn is designed for year-round skill development. Campers can also practice jumps using ParkBoards and ParkSkis, wheeled training tools that allow riders to refine tricks into foam pits before taking them to the snow.
For the first time, Woodward Copper will offer two weeks of Adult Camp, providing skiers and riders aged 18 and older with even more opportunities to train in an elite-level terrain park. Participants will have exclusive access to the on-snow glacier during their sessions, with coaching from world-class instructors. In addition to on-hill training, camp participants will have the opportunity to review on-hill videos of themselves attempting new tricks, as well as access to the Barn for progression-based training.
For younger campers, Woodward Copper offers two distinct summer camp experiences. The All-Mountain Adventure Camp blends time on snow and in the Barn with classic summer camp fun, including Go-Karts, Bumper Boats, and rides on the Rocky Mountain Coaster. The Peak Performance Camp is designed for dedicated skiers and riders seeking to optimize their time on snow and in the Barn, with a focus on skill progression and advanced training techniques.
Whether campers are seeking high-level coaching or an unforgettable summer adventure, Woodward Copper Summer Camp delivers an unparalleled experience for action sports athletes.ย
MOUNTAIN BIKE CAMPย
New this summer, Woodward Copper is introducing a Mountain Bike Camp during weeks eight, nine, and 10 of the summer season. Designed for campers aged seven to 17, this overnight camp mirrors the structure of the on-snow program, providing an opportunity for campers to learn from expert coaches, enjoy classic summer activities, and access the Woodward Barn. Each day will be spent riding Copperโs downhill trails, gaining skills and confidence with every lap. To keep the experience personalized, each session is capped at just 12 campers. This is an excellent opportunity to learn how to tackle a wide range of varying terrain and hone the skills necessary to progress within the sport.
