Alaska Airlines, the premier Seattle-based carrier serving the Pacific Northwest and beyond, has partnered with a list of well-known ski resorts to offer free lift passes when flying into select airports. The airline will provide free or discounted tickets at a variety of ski areas, from local ski areas to mega resorts and everything in between. States and provinces with participating resorts include Oregon, Colorado, Idaho, British Columbia, and Alaska.

Spokane International Airport (GEG) offers a variety of options for skiing and snowboarding when flying into the Eastern Washington hub. Nearby ski resorts offering deals include a free adult lift ticket at both RED Mountain Resort and Schweitzer Ski Area. Other ski areas with deals include Mt. Bachelor near Redmond Municipal Airport in Oregon, Big White Ski Resort near Kelowna International Airport (YLW) in BC, and Steamboat Ski & Resort by Steamboat Springs/Hayden (HDN), Colorado.

The state that somewhat unsurprisingly has the most partnerships with Alaska Airlines is, of course, Alaska. Alaska offers 3 separate ski resorts with deals with the airline. Eaglecrest Ski Area near Alaska’s capital of Juneau (JNU) offers free same-day skiing and snowboarding, as well as performance demo gear for the price of regular rentals at the Eaglecrest Rental Shop. Both Arctic Valley Ski Area and Alyeska Ski Resort near Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport (ANC) offer some amazing deals guaranteed to bring the serious skier or snowboarder to the land of the last frontier. Arctic Valley Ski Area is offering a free same day lift ticket, as well as discounts on demos in their shop. Alyeska, Alaska’s largest inbounds ski area, is offering a free same day lift ticket with limited peak season blackout dates.

In addition to Alaska Airlines ski resort partnerships, the airlines also offers a generous frequent flyer program as well as credit card benefits. Card holders are able to accumulate airline miles with every purchase, which are able to be redeemed for flights with both Alaska Airlines in addition to its OneWorld Alliance airline partners. Alaska Airlines is also famous for its “companion fare,” a yearly benefit in which eligible card holders can add a second traveler for only $99. Skiers and snowboarders are also able to check their equipment as a regular checked bag, making getting on the mountain more affordable than ever before at many ski areas across Western North America.

Tickets are on sale now at Alaskaair.com for the upcoming 2025-26 season. Though temperatures are still well into the 70s and 80s across much of North America, leaves are changing colors and colder temperatures are on the horizon, meaning it’s never too early to start planning your next winter getaway.
