This past weekend was the last call for laps at many ski resorts throughout the East. The temperatures pushed into the 80s for three days straight in Pennsylvania, and much of the Northeast saw temperatures in the upper 60s and low 70s. What has been a great season for many ski resorts in the East will eventually come to an end. However, there are still several ski resorts that are open for skiers and snowboarders to hit.
In the mid-Atlantic, Camelback Mountain is the last ski resort standing. In the Northeast, five ski resorts are still open, and in Eastern Canada, two are left. Some of them are operating on a spring skiing schedule, while some are still open daily.
Looking ahead to this week’s forecast in the East, has lower temperatures than last week, with even a small window to make snow. Temperatures at night will even drop into the 20s on Tuesday morning in some areas. The highs for the week will be in the 60s in the Pocono Mountains, Western New Hampshire, and Vermont. There is a possibility of rain forecast for the East throughout the week.
This upcoming weekend may be the last chance to ski at some of these resorts, while others have already announced it will be their final weekend of the season. However, there are still some planning to make it to May.
