Finally, after what has been a warm and dry November, the first decent snow of the month is settling on ski resorts in southern California.

Mammoth Mountain, who have been open for 2-weeks, got a quick 2″ late yesterday and should wake up to a further few inches this morning.

Mountain High reported 8″ yesterday evening, so with further snowfall throughout the night could wake up to a decent foot or so of fresh snow. Great news for their imminent opening day!

Snow Valley also received snow, and temperatures dropped low enough for the snow guns to blast out.

With opening day approaching for many resorts, it looks like winter has finally arrived! Let it snow!
