Check out this image from the Wildcat webcam at Mount Washington Observatory looking into Tuckerman Ravine, NH, clearly showing its final vestigial of snow.
It will probably melt sometime in the next few days but making it to August is impressive, although not a record. It has been known for snow to remain in Tuckerman Ravine right through the summer.
Temperatures will start dropping from now until winter, and the first measurable snow usually falls mid-September.
