Snowbasin Resort, UT, announced over the weekend that it will be opening on Friday 18th Novemberโits earliest opening date ever.
Multiple feet of early-season snow in Utah has meant the resort can start the lifts turning with top to bottom skiing.ย The resort has seen 54″ of snow this season and has a 32″ base.
The previous four years have seen the resort open on the 24th, 27th, 29th, and 20th of November.

We are thrilled to announce we are opening early for the 2022-23 ski season on Friday, November 18, at 9 a.m. This will mark our earliest opening on record in over 80 years of operation.
For this unprecedented opening, we will be welcoming pass holders back for exclusive access over the first weekend. We will be rolling out top-to-bottom skiing from Needles Gondola, Middle Bowl Express, and Littlecat Express. Our popular Wildcat Handle Tow will also be turning for guests to explore nearby park features. Available trails will be posted on our conditions page ahead of Opening Day.

The Grizzly Center will be open this weekend from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. for season pass printing, tuning, rentals, and shopping ahead of opening day.
In light of the early opening, our inaugural season kickoff party, The Moose is Loose, is moving to Thursday, November 17, from 3 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. This free event will consist of a rail jam, ski movie film festival, mountain market, delicious food, and season pass printing.
Opening weekend will be complete with dining options available at the serveries in Earlโs Lodge and Needles Lodge. Pass holders will receive a sneak peek of several exciting new food items debuting this season at the resort.

Pass Holder exclusive access includes Snowbasin Premier & Value Passes, Ikon Pass, and Mountain Collective between Friday, November 18th, and Sunday, November 20th. Premier Pass Holders may redeem Buddy Vouchers and Friends and Family tickets to bring guests. New this year, you can redeem those tickets at shop.snowbasin.com online in your account. Tickets will be available to the public starting Monday, November 21st.
Overnight camping for the first Needles Gondola cabins is permitted. Your campsite must fit within the gondola line. You must clean up after yourself and have your site put away no later than 7 a.m. Restrooms will be available throughout the night in the Learning Center.
