Snowbird announced Sunday, December 7, as it’s Opening Day, bringing skiing and riding back to Utah’s Little Cottonwood Canyon after a slow-to-develop early season. Terrain will open in Gad Valley and Chickadee, with the Gadzoom and Chickadee lifts scheduled to run.
“We appreciate everyone’s patience as we worked toward announcing Opening Day amidst challenging pre-season conditions,” Snowbird wrote on social media. “Our teams have been putting in their best effort around the clock and we can’t wait to welcome the Snowbird community back. Thank you for your eagerness to get skiing and riding. We’ll see you on the slopes.”
The resort said updates leading into the weekend will be posted on the Snowbird Mountain Report, the Snowbird App, and across its social media platforms. Those channels will carry real-time information as the mountain prepares for its first day of public operations.
