Tahoe is currently being hit by a big storm that is forecast to drop 1-2 Feet of snow above 8,500-feet before it’s done.
NOAA has a Winter Storm Warning in effect for the west slope of the Sierra and the Sierra crest today until 10pm. A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for the east slope of the Sierra and the Tahoe Basin until 10pm. The heaviest snow is forecast to fall this morning but it should keep snowing until about midnight tonight.
