Snowpack In The Washington Mountains Are Up To 5 Times Deeper Than Average

According to The Northwest Avalanche Center, snowpack in and around Washington is well above average for this time of year. All this snowfall is really showing in the ski industry, as Mt Baker Ski Area, Whistler Blackcomb, Crystal Mountain Resort, and Stevens Pass Resort all open this week. It might be mid-November, but ski season is in full swing in Washington.

  • Mt Baker Ski Area, WA: 48″
  • Paradise, WA: 39″
  • Timberline Lodge, OR: 28″
