Snowshoe Mountain will begin a weekend-long celebration of winter, family, friends, the holidays, and all things snow on Wednesday, November 21st. After what is sure to be a long night (and summer) of anticipation, Snowshoe will be counting down the minutes to rope-drop with coffee and hot chocolate for those eager skiers and riders.

With 150 new state-of-the-art snow guns, terrain will open sooner, stay open longer, and the mountain will have more open terrain than any other ski mountain in the Southeast. Add that snowmaking power to some help from Mother Nature (and $40 lift tickets!), and Opening Day 2018 is sure to be worth the wait. The 2018-19 season is finally here!

This is Snowshoe – part pure adventure, part cushy comfort, 100% contagious happiness. Our three distinct areas all have personalities worth getting to know. With the perfect amount of vertical in all the right places. A slew of kickers, rails, and other flip-worthy features. Plenty of runs groomed with the same attention paid to top show dogs. And enough variety to keep things interesting from first chair to last.”

Opening day is weather-dependent of course, so keep your fingers crossed for cold temps and snow. Get out there, and get after it!

Snowshoe Mountain is one of 37 iconic destinations available on the Ikon Pass.
