Solitude Mountain Resort in Utah is aiming to extend its ski and snowboard season through Memorial Day, marking what could be the latest closing date in the resortโ€™s history. The resort, which remains open for daily operations through Sunday, May 11, announced plans for two bonus weekends: May 16โ€“18 and May 23โ€“26. If weather and conditions allow, the Memorial Day closing would mark a milestone for the resort and cap off an unusually long season.

According to an update posted to Solitudeโ€™s official blog on May 5, snow coverage is holding up โ€œsurprisingly wellโ€ despite a variable spring. During the bonus weekends, the Apex Express and Link lifts will operate from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., while Moonbeam Express will remain closed for maintenance and trail prep ahead of summer bike park operations.

To celebrate the extended season, Solitude has several events lined up. On Saturday, May 10, the resort will host an Ikon Pass End of Season Party for guests whoโ€™ve logged 12 or more days this winter. The day will include exclusive lift access, free snacks, and a live DJ. On Sunday, May 11, guests can participate in a Closing Day Retro Party and the resortโ€™s first-ever Cardboard Derby, with prizes for fastest time, best crash, and best design.

If weather cooperates and the resort stays open through May 26, it will mark one of the longest ski seasons in Solitudeโ€™s history.
