Great news for backcountry skiers. Caltrans District 10 Maintenance in the mountain region reopened State Route 108/Sonora Pass and Route 4/Ebbetts Pass yesterday.
Crews finished removing fallen trees, and scraping ice and snow from a winter storm, as seen in these photos.
Caltrans reopened Route 89/Monitor Pass last week from a winter closure.
Caltrans thanks its hard-working crews for their diligence, and the traveling public for their patience and cooperation. Though the roads are open, they still are wet and slick in some spots, so please drive carefully.
